President Hoover approves construction of dike around Lake Okeechobee.

The grand opening of Morrison Field,
December 1936

West Palm Beach's first radio station WJNO-AM 1230, signs on.

New Palm Beach County airport dedicated; named Morrison Field in honor of Grace Morrison who led the way to build the airport. Inaugural departure by Eastern Airlines.
