Richard Block Interview

Richard Block served in the Army Air Forces from 1944-1946. He trained or was stationed at the following bases: Kessler Field, Biloxi, Mississippi; Truax Field, Madison, Wisconsin; Chanute Field, Illinois; Boca Raton Army Air Field, Boca Raton, Florida. In May 1945, Block was part of the first air corps replaces to arrive in Europe. He was stationed at Hoersking Air Base, Linz, Austria. Block held the rank of staff sergeant when he was discharged from the service in 1946. His awards and decorations include the Good Conduct Medal.
